Michael's idea: Technology, friend or foe?
Technology, with the benifits that we gain, also come the hazards of its use. Technology has helped us in many ways, with the abilities to send messages instantly around the world, computer gaming, and just household items that improve everday life. With the ability to instant message and everything being extremely fast paced theses days, we tend to abbreviate almost every word that we can. This may provide a faster way of telling someone a story, but you sacrifice your abilities to write properly with it. An easy way to relax after a hard day of work, would be to pop in a game into your gaming console, and wonder off into an adventure. With the ability to play online games though, you may easily become addicted. When your wondering around a new world, with a character of your own choice and name, it is easy to get dragged into the world and turn it more into a job than a game. With the aid of technology, many things that we used to do around the house are now being overtaken by robots. There are many new types of household cleaning robots, some that follow a set track maped around your house to sweep, or others that have an electrice sensor and clean what they can see. with such aid's as these, we may become sluggish and depend on them to get the house clean. Technology is very benificial to human society, but we can easily become very dependant on it as well.

I would have to agree that technology has made life much easier and caused us to become a bit sluggish. I have to admit that on more than one occasion, I've been writing a paper and typed the number two or four instead of writing it like I was texting or instant messaging someone. My roommates are perfect examples of people letting video games take over their lives. And I was wondering where I can find one of these robots to come and clean my house.
