Essay 3 Ideas
For Essay 3, I am planning on writing about the homeless in America. Some of the things I might write about are how the bad economy has played a part in the massive increase in the homeless population, how taxes have effected Americans directly thus causing them to be homeless, and what homeless people today are trying to do to survive every day.
my Idea for my essay three
For my essay three I'm going to be writing about violence and killings that occur in foreign countries and also in different states. Just wonder how many incidents happen overseas or in different countries that probably never get told or maybe never were able to be told.
Essay 3
My essay 3 will be about domestic violence. I would like to write about domestic because I believe that it is a very serious problem that can eventually lead to other serious problems or even death in some cases. I, myself, have never been in a relationship that involved domestic violence, but I have had friends and family members that have been abused. I have never fully understood why women put up with the violence, so I would like to get some insight on that. I plan on exploring all aspects of domestic violence. I want to explore on child abuse and spousal abuse. I would also like to find out more on how to help the victims of domestic violence. I also think that stronger punishment on people that commit domestic violence may help to reduce domestic violence a bit.
Social Issues
I'm writing about smoking in public. Smokers are endangering there on lives by smoking already, but it's not fair for others that don't smoke to suffer too. Smoking should be outlawed at all places where people gather for shopping eating or even congregating. In some places this is already being enforced but I think that more people should get in on it and help out, especially if you don't smoke. The only thing that it can do is benefit you. If anyone has any ideas or questions for me don't hesitate to let me know or ask. I'll do my best to find an answer for you.
Essay 3
My third essay will be about child abuse. I thing we have several forms of child abuse that needs to be addressed as parents. As parents we don't realize what different forms of abuse does to our children. A few different types are physical abuse, verbally abuse and completely neglecting of our children. All three abuses can cause children suffering as adults. The children may never recover as adults from their traumatic childhood. I've always wondered how society views the important's of being a parent, because we don't put information out there as a guide to parents. I say that because we have manuals for everything you can think of, but is parenting not important enough to make more books that say "How to raise them into healthy adults". We need information that tell us how to handle thinks like; toddler tantrum's, breaking bad language, teenage attitude. We need more reality type situation and guidance. As a mother of three I've had my children come home from daycare with a new word that we don't say in our house and if we have more direction on what to do it would help us. I have a sophomore, and he is a an age of testing and sarcasm. We have one in middle school who is popular and stays active with the school, but we worry about popularity and it will do for him in junior high and high school. I know as a parent you have some kind of clue what to do in all of these situation but only because we are using what we know but don't know if it's the right thing to do. As first time parents we should have a book that followed our children throughout their childhood, to give us good guidance. I think that's why some people abuse their children because that's all they know from their childhood. If they got spankings they give spankings, if they got yelled at with fowl language use toward them, they do the same. This may help people that have not had children, and adults trying to break the cycles. This information can save our generation and ones to come from being abused.

Essay 3
In this essay, I plan on discussing the bullying that has been brought up quite a bit lately from the effect of a child committing suicide because of it. I plan to not only focus this essay on children, but teens and adults as well. I do not feel as if the bullying only effects children. It is everywhere. I am also going to discuss some things that may solve the bullying from happening. I mean obviously it will not have an effect on everyone because the world is stubborn and cruel. You will always have an outcast rebelling. I also plan to focus this paper on the religion issues and how people are suffering because they cannot show freedom of religion in this country as much as everyone used to be able to. I also would like to bring up the recession and how it has truly torn families apart using an experience from my life.
Proposing a Solution
I want to write about the issues with depression in todays society. I can say that I have my suspencion on how and why this occurs,I would like to focus alot on how much of this illness is self inflicted with our mind. I also want to talk about the different forms of abuse physical, mental and emotional. This has been a long standing issue in our society manly because of a power struggle between two parties. I also would like to write about the need for social status.I really havent heard alot about this particular issue lately, but the character Lew brought the issue again when he wanted to inpress his friends and was more concerned about their opinion versus his family.
"The Green Mile" Discussion 2
This section of our read get more detailed about a few of the prisoners. The story starts with Bitterbuck or "The Chief". He is in prison for killing a man by crushing a man's head with a cement block over a pair of boots. He has a playful personalty during one of the trial run of his walk to "Old Sparky", the guards find it humorous. Bitterbuck's daughter comes and witness the death of her father. Percy is disrespectful to the dead body of Bitterbuck. Delacroix is the next prisoner that the story tells us about. On his first day he is badly beaten by Percy. He becomes cautions of Percy from that point on, although Percy befriends him, he never truly trust him again. He becomes friends with a mouse named Mr. Jingles. He teaches Mr. Jungles a few tricks. He buy a match box from "The Chief" with the help of the guards for Mr. Jingles. Percy gets cotton so that Delacroix can put it in the box for Mr. Jingles to sleep in. He and Mr. Jingles eat peppermint candy that an aunt of Delacroix sends him. Paul is still suffering urinary infection and is thinking about going to the doctor. Warden Moores learns that his wife has a tumor that can't be operated on because of the location of it. The doctor only give her till Christmas to live and Moores is very upset by the news he hasn't shared with his wife. The day that Wharton comes to E block is a bad day for Paul. He catches Dean off guard and is able to start choking Dean, Paul comes in to see what's going on, but it at a loss of what to do with the situation. The story is back tracking and giving us a chance to better understand the prisoner from the beginning to the end of their time on E Block. The character are the same at this point. I think that the guards and the prisoner have problems communicating and are scared to open up some of those doors between them.
Eassy 3
My first thought about essay three is that this one might be a challenge. I really don’t know where to start with this one its so many social issues to discuss I’m not sure which one I could relate the best to and explain in the greatest detail. I think the best social issues for me that I can relate the best to is crime, substance abuse, and police brutality. I know I have to pick one it just hard to me because all three of those hit close to home with me. I also want to pick a topic that has an adequate amount of info on so I don’t have to add “fluff” and I can be all research with my personal examples. The idea of trying to think of my own solution to the social issues I mentioned is going to be a quiet a task itself but, of course with thought this should not be a problem. Here in the U.S. there are so many different social problems one is not sure where to start out at it really depends on the perception on the person and what’s going on in ones society. I also want to make sure I use the correct MLA format and incorporate Stephen king and some of his ideas in to this essay if I see fit for one. I will update my final decision on which topic I choose and why.
Misery Post Dos
Although Paul won the battle of slickking down medicine with soap scummed water, the war with Annie was far from over. Paul woke up with joy and happiness when he thought he was being treated in a hospital ward, that dream was immediately crushed when he realized it was just a dream. Annie was in the room when he was awoken. She seems mad and when Annie is mad, Annie does crazy things. Paul's heart started racing, thinking to himself what has he done. Little did Paul know, Annie's heart was crush because Misery Chastain died. Annie blamed Paul for her death. Annie said she had to go out and think. She lock the door of the room and ran off leaving Paul for fifty hours. Paul was thristy, hungry, and had alot of pain. He even thought of commiting suicide but he couldn't move because his legs were shatterd. After the fiftyith hour Annie return and as Paul would desribe it "Almost as pretty as Annie Wilkes would ever be." Paul begged for water and pills to relieve the pain. Annie quickly said he must first burn his manuscript. Paul refused many times before giving in. The reason he gave in is because he thought to himself, if he died of pain or being in a comma; she would burn it anyway. Therefore he chose to burn the book and continue his life one more day. Annie wanted Paul to brun the front page, back page, and 9 pairs of pages. Why 9? Annie said the number 9 is double the lucky and the number of power.

The Green Mile Discussion 2
In the next section of The Green Mile, several things happened. There was the execution of Arlen Bitterbuck, also known as "The Chief". Surprisingly, his family was allowed to visit him the night before. They were also allowed his daughter to fix his braids before he was executed, so he could die with dignity. Throughout this section of the story, they were interested in the mouse that came to live on The Green Mile. Mr.Jingles, as they called him, was found living in a hole in the storage room. His little home was filled with small pieces of spool that were colored with crayons. When Mr.Jingles had first arrived, he seemed to be looking for someone. Once he found Delacroix, a special bond was formed between the two. He was very particular about who he would take food from. Mr.Jingles only took his food from the regualrs on the block, but not the floaters. One of the social issues we noticed in this section was Percy's behavior. He was being hateful towards the prisoners, and he was antagonizing Delacroix, Mr.Jingles, and Wharton. Brutus and Paul were getting tired of the life at the Green Mile and Percy's attitude, and they began to discuss leaving. This section basically began the trouble with Percy's attitude towards the rest of the inmates and staff.
Novel update Dolores Claiborn
We left off on our last blog about Dolores telling the police about Mrs. Vera dying and how her husband died. Now she is explaining why she killed him and we are going to explain the events that lead up to his murder. It all started when he hit her one day in the kidneys because she didn't have his dinner ready when he got home. Later on that evening when he started to dose off in his chair, she got a creamer from the table and hit him upside the head and busted his ear open. She had a hatchet in her hand for both protection and to threaten him. When her daughter Selena heard the glass from the creamer hit the floor, she ran into the living room and saw her mom standing over her dad with the hatchet while he was sitting in his chair holding his ear and blood dripping from his hand. After that day Selena slowly started distancing herself from her mom. Selena and her dad became very close after that night because she felt like she owed it to him because of what her mom did. Her dad turned her against her mom and told her lies of why she hit him that night. Before long she would hardly talk to her and then she started coming home from school late because she said she was at the study hall doing her homework. After that she started dressing like a tom boy and wouldn't talk to anyone! So after awhile her mom went to the school to see if she really had been doing her homework and she was. So on the way home from school that day, they were on the farry and her mom asked her what was wrong. She asked her why she wouldn't talk to anyone and why she started dressing like a tom boy. She finally got it out of her that her dad had been molesting her. When her mom found that out her husband did that to their daughter, she became very outraged. She told her husband to never touch her again and if he did, his days were numbered. She wanted to go to the bank and get out the money that she had put away for the kids college so they could get away from her husband. When she went to the bank she found out that her husband had already taken the money out of the account. She became very upset and started yelling at the guy for not notifying her that her husband took the money out.

Essay 3
I am not exactly sure What social issue I want to write about for essay 3 but some that seem interesting are racisim, poverty, and tensions between religion. Racisim and tensions between religion are issues that have been coming up more often ever since september 11, 2001. Poverty seems like a good topic. I could relate it to Stephen Kings stories because he often writes about regular class people and people that are poor instead of writing about rich people like some writers do. Stephen king himself did not come from a rich family growing up and most of the time his stories have characters in them that were in a similar class to him No matter what topic I choose I will have several ideas to use for it because of the seriousness of it.
Essay 3
There are so many social issues in our society, one would think it easy to pick a topic to write about. As is the case with many students, I haven't a clue as to what I will write about. It isnt that I cant think of any, its actually quite the opposite, there are too many to pick from. Should I write about the Economy, human trafficing, gays in the military, drug trafficing, the rise of adolescent learning disorders, religious tention, muslims in our military, coal miners getting traped in a mine, the list is endless. So many interesting subjects, so few papers to talk about them in. Having been in the military myself, I am leaning toward the "don't ask don't tell policy" being removed. It is going to drastically change the dynamic of the military stucture. At any rate, I am actually looking forward to this paper.
Essay 3
My idea for essay three is either writing about eating disorders or teen pregnancy. Being a high school student, I see both of these issues a lot. I think that both of these are major social problems that are growing even larger in today’s society. I personally know a girl who was affected by teen pregnancy, so I think that I may write about that issue instead. I saw many life changes for her, but she was a good mother. If I write about that topic, I think I will also mention how teen pregnancy isn’t just in high school. Many junior high students are pregnant as well. This has also been increasing in the last few years. I think that there are several solutions to these problems, and I am unsure of what I would mention for a solution at the moment. I may suggest that schools put more emphasis on the risks of pregnancy at a young age. I know that many young girls want a baby because they want someone who will love them. Schools could also emphasize that the reality of teen pregnancy is not what you dream up or see in movies. It’s dangerous. This solution would not be a very costly one, but it would take time and dedication. I think that teen pregnancy will be the topic I write on after thinking more about it. It is a very important issue in society and it needs to be addressed more seriously, because lives are at stake.
Essay Tres
Social problem is among us all whether it is drug abuse, violating human rights, domestic abuse, etc. Some of the social problem is easy to fix, or is it? To fix something we must have money, time and resource. I would say gang violence is one of the biggest problems we have not only in our society but the world's ass well. In this essay I would expand on statistics, motivation of gangs, types of gangs. That is what I plan to do as of right now, hopefully when I get more sources from EBSCO I can incorporated in my essay.
Essay 3
There are so many social issues that face our generation today. Especially with the economy at a "low" like it has been for many years. Although it may be on the rise, the effects it has left behind are some that are difficult to get through alone, let alone without help or assistance. One of the effects has left people feeling stressed out to extremes that they do not know how to handle unless induced by drug abuse. It is clearly understandable to want to "get away" from the issues at hand; but in reality that is not the answer. Personal experience has driven me to write about drug abuse and its effects on a family. I hope to be able to express that drugs are not the easy way out and most often cause huge problems amongst families. I know that it has in mine. I have often been told that "my drug habit is not hurting anyone else but me" by my oldest sister. She just didn't want to listen. She didn't care. Her actions caused a major disability and almost her life. This has left our family caring not only for her needs, but for her children's needs as well. This is a serious issue. I am not sure there is a solution for for substance abuse. First off, the abuser has to recognize that they have a problem. I intend to look for ways to get the abuser to recognize their problem and help to find ways to not want to relapse.

Ideas for Essay 3
For essay 3 I'm pretty sure I'm going to write about Human Trafficking. Human trafficking is a huge problem in many foreign countries where men women and children, even infants are being sold for their bodies and dignity. Research says that drug dealers are coming out of that business and going into Human Trafficking because the money is so good. I think human trafficking is a problem that everyone ignores or they don't think it is real or rally happening when in reality it's all very real and very true. One day I plan on traveling with my sister to a country where human trafficking is really high and I would like to put a stop to it. I haven't researched it like I would of liked but that is why I picked this topic to right about.
Essay 3
The social issue I have chosen is greed. The saying "money is the root of all evil" is not so far from the truth. If feel didn't feel the need to have more money then I think there would be less smaller social issues such as drug trafficing, prostitution, stealing, robery, and even murder. This is not just one issue it is almost all of them. The question is how do you make people not want more money. I think one way to solve this is to rid the country of all the "extra things". The solution to this problem is almost to make the country socialistic or a utopian society. This will be a difficult essay to write but I think it will be an interesting issue to write and even read about. This is not to say that I agree with a socialistic society. There is no real way to make the world completely "good" because you can't have good with out bad, peace with out war, or happiness with out sadness. They define each other.
Essay 3 Ideas
For my third essay, I was thinking about writing over drug trafficking. It hits pretty close to home for me because my family’s from one of the border states in Mexico, which is one of the hot spots for the cartels, which is sad because I can’t go over and visit my grandparents without fearing for my life. I also thought about it because I keep hearing what’s happening on the other side of the border on the news, and it stems from and feeds other social problems. However, I was thinking about having a King source in this paper, and King, from what I know, doesn’t do very much on the whole drug trafficking thing. As a plan B, I was thinking something more along the lines of police brutality. I found the perfect example in The Green Mile: Percy Wetmore. I see a few clips and stories about that on the news as well, so it will without a doubt have plenty of articles related to it on all the news websites. Other than that, I really can’t come up with anything else.
Essay 3 Ideas
I am very stuck on what to write about for Essay 3. There are so many social problems I could pick from, and coming up with a solution for the problem will be tricky. I'm not sure about what kinds of solutions you can propose for some social issues. I may write about child abuse and neglect, and I could incorporate examples from "The House on Maple Street" to support it. This story did a good job with showing this issue with the way the step-father treated the children and their mother. Bullying in schools would also be a good option to write about since it's been on the news so much lately. Also, social outcasts would be good to write about. All of these topics would have plenty of research that I could use also; I would have no problem with finding sources for all of them. I'm not sure how to go about finding a solution for all of these topics. I'm going to have to do a lot of thinking on what to write about for this essay! Hopefully it will all come together once I start writing.
Idea for Essay 3
I'd like tolerance to be the focus of my essay. I think this is a very timely, relevant social issue, and it's something that has affected all of us at one time or another. It's a very broad topic, for sure, so I'll need to figure out how to narrow it down some without completely limiting myself to only one type of tolerance. Religious tolerance might be a good start, but religious beliefs have just about everything to do with every form of intolerance as well. This subject should be easy to research and interesting to write about.
Essay 3 on Social Issues
For essay three we are suppose to write about a social problem and then come up with a solution for it. Well I don't know what social problem I'm writing about yet but there are alot of them out there. For example alcoholism is a major social problem. It not only affects the alcoholic but can affect their family members, coworkers and any other people that come into contact with them while there drinking. There are alot of drunk driving accidents and people getting killed everyday from it. Also layoffs and people being without jobs is another issue. Our economy is really bad right now I've been without a job since february when I got laid off. I've applied for alot of jobs but still haven't found one yet. With people being without job's that can lead to depression and suicide which are two more social issues. Depression is a really big social issue and not only adults suffer from it but alot of teenagers suffer from it to. People don't know where to turn too and how to deal with it so they end up committing suicide. They also turn to alcohol and drug abuse. So with all being said there are alot of deaths from depression and from carwrecks due to alcoholism. Alcoholism and drug abuse can also lead to child abuse and spousal abuse. Then when a child is abused there more likely to grow up and be the abuser , having alcohol and drug problems or other underlying issues. I'ts like a vicious cycle. Like I said I really don't know what topic my next essay will be about but I'm excited about it and hoping to come up with a solution for the problem.

Essay 3 Ideas
Essay 3 is over Social Problems. I have decided to write mine over Alcohol and Drug abuse, is a social problem amongst others and society since it is dangerous and life changing. It can start from the school-aged children to adults, and how it comes up and why they have chosen to do it. In the essay i want to describe how its a problem with school aged kids, adolescents and adults and the solution Iuch as education or self resistance, and how it can work and kind of give an idea if why it can't work. If this isnt a good social problem subject, please let me know cause i have another back up subject but i'm hoping this is good.
