Essay 3
My topic choice is a very sensitive topic in the eyes of society. It seems to get overlooked or "pushed to the side" by the majority and it affects more people than most know or would ever hope to imagine. My topic is child abuse. Not just physical but mental and emotional as well. This childhood tragedy is outragoeously too common. I believe that if paernts and neighbors knew what to look for there would be a decrease in lives ruined and scarred. Children could be blissfully ignorant and hold on to their innocense for as long as they could.
essay 3: going green
thinking about this essay has really turned my brain, i have been thinking about all kinds of things i could write about like obesity in America, nuclear bombing, gun control, and other things. this essay topic has left it very open to what we can write about to just about anything we can think of. i think i am finally going to grab the topic about going green in the automobile industry. with all the new technology coming out we have cars that can use no gasoline, that would really help out our environment and stop people in the U.S. paying an arm and a leg to fill up there cars and trucks. in Texas we are known to have everything bigger, we have more trucks, and bigger trucks. we have all this solar power technology that is not getting used as much as it should be being used. i think i can write a good argument on the issue, who knows maybe it'll even open your eyes to thinking about going at least a little more green.

Wasteland
Pollution has a negative effect on the world today and even looks worse towards the future. So many people never take prevention seriously because they don't realize what's going to happen until it hits you. With todays technology prevention should be a number one priorty, or at least using non toxic or non hazardous material. BP just had the largest oil spill in U.S. history in 2010. There are even plans to make a hollywood production after the catastrauphic event, as if we want to remember. Japan just had an earthqauke that caused a tsunami large enough to damage a nuclear power plant and send radiation into the environment. In both instances people were worried about money rather than the stable environment for wich people live in. They were trying to cut corners in BP's exlposion to make things go faster, and for some reason in Japan they built a dangerous nuclear power plant on a fault line. I also like to go fishing and hunting outdoors. Pollution as far as in the water or in the air is going to kill everything in the ecosystem making it unsuitable for anything to live.
racism
Racism is the still a big problem in this day in age. Its not just in the U.S. that racism occurs its all over the world. It was a big thing back in the old day that racism was a way of life it was a sin to even be in a relationship with a colored person. Its still a big thing now which is ridiculous but if we all put forth effort we could resolve this huge social problem.
Essay 3- Legalizing Marijuana
I am writing Essay 3 about legalizing marijuana. It’s definitely not the biggest social issue out there today; however, it is an unnecessary focused topic. Since there are much more important things going on I do not understand why so much of the limelight is on penalty for marijuana users. Even if not legalizing it, I do think that less punishment should be considered. Over 68,000 people got arrested just last year and many lost jobs. Is it really that crucial? Marijuana is actually less dangerous than alcohol, cigarettes, and most over-the-counter medicines or prescriptions. Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest substances known to man. Marijuana is illegal in the United States when alcohol poisoning is a major cause of death and approximately 400,000 premature deaths are attributed to cigarettes a year. Being an alcoholic can result in inability to talk, walk, function, and even death. How often do you hear about someone overdosing on marijuana? There are no records of any deaths due to marijuana. Aspirin is completely legal but if you take 12 of them it will be your last headache. In places such as California, people are prescribed marijuana for health purposes, involving anxiety, high blood pressure, nausea suffered by cancer patients, and glaucoma. The government could also benefit from making billions of dollars a year from taxing marijuana, which would help with our country’s huge debt. These are only a few reasons why I believe it should be legalized, or at least less of a penalty.
Ideas for Essay 3
This topic for essay 3 is really complicated i havent figured out what i want to write about but if any suggestions or ideas will help iam ganna be thinking about ideas and hopefully i find what i want to write about.
Social Issues essay 3
For this essay I think the social issue I will choose is racism or racial tension. Whether it be about the color of peoples skin or how some people think that every Muslim is going to bomb you. This is a very real issue in our world today. It's a very controversial issue. I don't see why some people can live their lives and wake up everyday holding prejudice against a certain race.
Here is the definition of racism Racism is the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race, ethnicity, or nationality are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that ethnic differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.
So in essay 3 I plan to get to the bottom of things such as what leads to it or what causes it. How it can be stopped, and ect.

Essay 3 pre-write
I find that torture is a very serious problem. Torture is useful to a degree, but it should only be used in extreme cases. However, most of the time the information we recieve is mostly made up so that they can stop the pain. Though sometimes it does work, other times it is problematic. There are easier methods to get information, according to some people. I find that torture only works with certain methods like waterboarding and clipping off fingernails. Torture might not be humane, but it does work every now and then. So in special cases, I believe torture should be allowed to use against the enemies of the United States.
essay 3
There are many soical issues it hard to chose which one i would like to write about in essay 3. Im leaning towards Teen Pregnancy. Pregnancy is an major problem in teens. The problem is teens lack in knowledge about how to prevent pregnancy. Not all young ladies have that mother figure to guide them in the right way . However in most families young ladies are afaid to speak about sex with there parents. Some parents feel if they speak about sex with their kids it will encouge them to do it .If this problem isnt fixed it would led to more pregnancy in america.
Essay 3
I have, unfortunately, not looked at my syllabus for class until today, so I'm about a week and a half behind (spring brake wasn't quite long enough). Due to that, and a combination of procrastination and lack of time, I haven't exactly come up with an idea for this essay...haha whoops. I've been tossing a few ideas around, but I'm leaning toward one in particular. Since I'm reading The Green Mile, I figured I'd go with the death penalty. It's still a major moral and social issue today - not the electric chair being cruel and unusual; just the death penalty in general - and I'll have the book as a source to tie into my paper and make it longer, which always helps. The only problem, however, is a solution to the problem...Individual states still control the right - independently, that is - to enforce the death penalty or ban it. Due to the moral stand still on the issue, and the ongoing power struggle between governmental powers (and rights) on a state versus a federal level, a nationwide solution has failed to come about. Well, that about sums up my idea, or lack thereof. Any ideas or suggestions are encouraged and more than welcome. Thanks
Proposal Paper
Since I am obviously a student, I am also a part-time employee, a full time student, and full time mother. My time is limited for each one. Words such as: funds, decrease, and limited catch my ears, so once I heard about the education funds, such as financial aid was being decreased, I immediately got interested. People in my situation are obviously affected greatly, however, any student is affected in some way. The way the government is going, eventually they will have nothing for us, and this is such a big problem, it is a failing cycle that is taking place right now. I rather not get into pointing fingers as to whose fault it is, this president, that president, because that will only be a matter of opinion and thats not exactly the direction my proposal is going, but i will say this is not a new problem and it did not occur within in the past few years, but back then I was not interested because up until 2008 I was a high school student and financial aid was not a concern of mine. Realistically, we are "common citizens" and who really has the money to hand out for their education.? I honestly have no idea how much money have already spent towards my education. I am not a tax paying citizens, but people in my house hold are and i just cannot agree with spending muli millions, even billions on a ten+ year war at the expense of my education being thrown out of the budget list. As I continue my research, my solution will become more vivid and realistic. I cannot go to the White House and start a riot and have thousands of people and signs screaming "no funds, no peace" and what not, but I will take action as far as possible from Texas City, Tx.
Dolores Claiborne, Novel # 2
Dolores is a great worker, very responsable about her issues, but she liked to live a misserable life, because everybody abused of her and she let that happened to her, she attracted bad thing to her..she made the wrong solutions by herself..
Teen age.
Now, I can see more pregnancy on young girls, that mean; they need more information. It is wird, because in this new era , we have several kind of prevention. I thing the kids need information from parents and school, and the schools have to start with courses about consecuences of pregnancy and before pregnancy, teach how prevent, like some other countries are doing.. Educate our kids before the consecuences.. Parents need to be more close with their kids not only is working in life, they have to make a time for their kids, Please!!
Replies essay 3- health issues.
I am worry that what is going to happen for our health care; it is very important put more attention about the new laws. I think that we need more help from people in the congress to do something about saving lifes. Now everything is cutting about budgets, but they are expending money in other things that it is not necesary..Health is the priority for people!!!
