My Idea's for Essay 2
I have decided to stick with my original idea that technology is good. Withought the technology we use we would be in a prehistoric state of living. Technology has brought on more good than bad and it will only continue to get better and better. Withought technology we would have a much greater death-rate, would not be able to save the wounded, and could never find out things we usually would know. Without computers we could not be conected to the world like we are, and world relations would be down. Withought technology cars would not exist. Neither would cell phones, microwaves and game systems. With technology we can keep moving towards the future. In fact, I think that the future kind of hinges off of technology. Not saying it's bad though. I will also delve into the downsides that technology has brought. For instance, alot of war tools have been created due to advencments in technology. Also, technology can be used for terrorism. These are just a few idea's I would like to touch.

Thank goodness-I thought I was going to be in the minority about there being anything bad about technology. I see your point about not being able to proceed in to the future without technological advancements. But would we as a society even know we weren't moving towards the future if we didn't have the advancements that allow us to move in to the future? Follow me? Would the kids even know he was missing out on the newest video game if he didn't know video games existed?
You make a lot of good points on why technology is beneficial. It does seem to have done more good than bad but if your not really in the technology field you don't get to see a lot of the bad stuff. We're very lucky to have all the technolgy that we have because it would seem like we would be living in the prehistoric ages. On the other hand lets ask ourselves what did we do when we had no cell phones or every home didn't have a computer. We got along fine. I do think the world has changed of course so I do know that things have to change with it, but I just think we've become to depended on it. What you said about terrorism is very true. Think about the computer hackers. They're not only in the U.S. The wrong hacker and we have a big problem. I mean the whole world is basically ran off computers some how.
