K Beanland's Ideas

My view on essay 2's topic, technology, is that it is very beneficial to our everyday life. We depend on technology more than we can even comprehend. Every single day, everything we do and everything we see has been produced by, or by something that was produced by, technology. From the buildings that are all around us, to the computer chips that are running this computer, everything is enhanced, perfected, upgraded, easier to use, and just plain better because of technology. It is very difficult for us to imagine what this world would be like if we didn’t have technology. I think the playful thoughts that probably come to most peoples’ minds are of cavemen and Indians. But the truth is that that’s exactly where we would be without technology. No one wants to think about not being able to eat without someone killing or gathering it first, or not being able to wear clothes that are made of anything but animal skin, or not being able to escape the weather conditions, or not being able to keep up their personal hygiene because everything that we have today to have all of these things has come from technology. We can survive without technology.. but not nearly as convenient, and comfortable as we do today. Not to mention we’d stink.

Technology makes life easy. It makes it fun. It allows us to relax, have better health, be able to communicate and learn faster. Although there might be a few negative sides to technology, the good outweighs the bad by an unlimited factor. That’s why I am going to write about how technology is beneficial to our lives.

I agree that there are many positive sides to technology I don’t agree that the good out weight the bad. Have you seen the movie idiocracy while I don’t think we are there I do believe that unless we stop depending on technology like we do then we very well may. So while I do think you make a very good point in my personal opinion that the bad at times outweigh the good

Ok I agree that everything is better now then in the past but at what cost? We are losing our planet, personal interaction and common survival instincts. PPl today don't know how to survive, not with out our basic needs that weren't so basic a few years back. Many ppl say that they NEED their cell phones. Thats sad, business, relationships and life all went on smoothly before cell phones were a "necessary". Life would be hard w/o technology but I think it would be worth it to our selves to cut back a little and unplug once and a while. But on the other had i love my cell, my computer and my Air conditioning, so who am i to preach?

I really agree with the statement of how we can survive without the luxuries of technology, it just would not be as easy as life seems now. Technology is a bi part of our lives, and if we did lose it, i think many people wouldnt be able to adapt, like you said.

all though you bring some good points, the fact that we do depend on it so much is going to be a negative outcome. but you still have a stong argument. good luck.
