Technology is what makes the world go round
We depend on technology to make our lives easier and happier. Some may say that technology has a dark side and are bad to this planet. To this I ask if you blame the gun for killing the person or the man who pulled the trigger. You can not blame technology for what bad people use it for. Technology have helped the human beings become what we are today. Without technology cave men would not have eaten because the spears and arrows they used to hunt are concidered technology. Technology can also be credited to amazing medical advancements such as curing diseases and prosthetic limbs. The ones who put a bad name to technology can not say so with out naming off all the benefits they themselves use. The fact that they are using the internet to blog about how detrimental technology is an oxymoron itself. Unless these nay sayers all live in a box their beliefs can not hold strong because they are hypocrites, then again the box they live in is also a technological advancement so they would probably just live in the bushes. The fact that chimpanzees can use technology shows that mother nature approves of our advanced thinking of making our lives easier with technology.

Hello Francis,

I enjoyed reading your post. You really take a stand on technology don't you? You raise a VERY good point, and your explanation was great, as well.

Hi Francis,

I forgot to sign in, and while I was writing, I noticed it read "This writer does not accept anonymous comments." So I stopped writing, signed in, and thought I lost what I had written. My bad!

But let me include it anyway;

I enjoyed reading your post. You really take a stand on technology, don't you? You raise a VERY good point, and your explanation was great as well.

"Who's killing the person; The gun, or the person?" is a very good euphemism.

But I must tell you Francis, I am one of those people that do believe that technology is ruining our world when it comes to pollution. I used to live in the woods, by myself. I was a hermit. But, I do partake in the riches of technology, now. I used to stay as far away from it as I possibly could.
I am studying to be a RHIT. (Registered Health Information Technician). I must confess, I never saw myself here 15 years ago! I am also glad that I chose this field. I have been "washing it over in my mind, on what setting, in my career, I'd like to be. Maybe in Cancer Research for children, or something to do with children. I believe it will be very rewarding. I am all for technology, EXCEPT when it comes to polluting Mother Earth and Grandfather Sky. I also think about my children, and their children. I also believe that there is indeed such a thing as "Big Brother". Camera's are EVERYWHERE! (I realize I sound like a paranoid schizophrenic person)
;)

But getting back to your entry;

You express yourself well, and come through very clear. (at least on "my side of the fence") I see no reason why you wouldn't get a good grade for the presentation aspect of your essay.

Keep up the good work, and thank you for the enjoyable read!
