if you have the power to see the future, should you be obligated to use your power to intervene and change things, or just let nature take its course and let whatever is going to happen happen?? this is the topic for my essay. in the novel the dead zone john smith can see the future, and he is using his power to help people in some cases and stop things from happening. but should he be obligated to do those things? i don't think so. of course for his own welfare, and for the welfare of those he loves or cares for, he'll want to, or even be glad to, but i don't think he should be obligated to do it. maybe he shouldn't intervene at all. but if i knew that something bad was
going to happen that would affect me or someone i cared about, i'd definitly interfere. but no i dont believe that he should be obligated to. there are too many bad things happening everywhere for him to possibly solve every problem, but if they are big, drastic things, then i'd hope that you'd want to help. but everything happens for a reason, right?? well, i know this sucks, and my ideas aren't all clear, but yea
